This taper allows you to dig deeper into the rod and access the lower sections, shifting power closer to the angler. A slightly longer five-weight to aid in casting distance and line control when fishing for trout. The 597-4 X features a fighting butt and is great for big river fishing, nymphing and stillwater situations.
